Alison Haasch

I am Alison Haasch, a licensed midwife serving the East Valley of Phoenix, Arizona. I began my work with mothers and mothers-to-be in 1997, when I became a childbirth educator trained through the Bradley MethodĀ® and then taught independently. Also in that year, I became a peer counselor for the WIC breastfeeding support and education program.

In 2000, I took the next step and became a DONA trained doula and have worked as a doula since that time. The joy of witnessing a family welcoming a new baby further spurred me on to take the next step.

In 2005, I became an apprenticing student midwife and studied first with Pamela Qualls, LM and later Susan DiSilvestro, CPM. My training was very thorough, providing me with valuable, hands-on experience for three and a half years. Additionally, I have studied a midwifery curriculum and have passed the NARM and the midwifery licensing tests required by the state of Arizona.

Also, I have been blessed with six children, three of whom were born at home. They currently range in age from teens down to a preschooler. The birth and babyhood of each of my children have taught me valuable lessons, both as a mother and as a midwife. I share this wonderful and crazy life with my husband of nearly 17 years, Robert, who was my college sweetheart.

LifeSpring Midwifery is currently taking Arizona midwifery clients in Phoenix, Tempe,Ā Scottsdale, Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Fountain Hills, Maricopa, Casa Grande, San Tan Valley, Queen Creek, Apache Junction, and Florence. The basic areas covered are Pinal County and the Phoenix metro area in the East Valley of Maricopa County. I will consider clients outside this range on a case-by-case basis.
